We pulled those numbers together here from real product listings, documented owner experiences, and our own export orders, so this reads as a reference sheet rather than a brochure.
Length follows the original container frame, so 20ft and 40ft dominate the market, with a smaller number of suppliers offering a 30ft option for buyers who want something between the two. A 2026 product announcement from a North American manufacturer listed exactly this range — 20ft, 30ft, and 40ft lengths, widths up to 12ft, and depths up to 8ft (roughly 2.4m) — which lines up with what we see across the broader market rather than being an outlier. Most residential orders land at 20ft; most hospitality and commercial orders land at 40ft, largely because filtration and structural costs don’t scale linearly with length, so the larger unit tends to deliver more usable water per dollar spent.
